Money is tight, but you already know that. Consumers are spending less on repairs and more on fuel. Many repair shops in the Valley are feeling the pinch.

You can capitalize on this economic downturn, by promoting planned maintenance.

If a car owner can budget for repairs and the shop can provide a case as to how preventative maintenance can save the customer money in the long run, it's a win/win situation.

The California Bureau of Automotive Repair receives around 25,000 automobile repair complaints a year. Since the only people who file complaints are those who know they have been ripped off, the actual number of auto repair fraud victims in California is probably much higher. Make sure you are talking to your customer about their needed repairs and what each cost on their bill is. This will increase loyalty and reduce unhappy clients.
